Without any direct contact with the bin cover, your hands stay clean always. Especially when you are in the middle of your cooking preparation. It also helps the bin to stay clean too if your hands are dirtied. A win-win situation for both you and bin.
The sensor is powered by four AA batteries that last for 180 days! However, if battery power is flat, you can still resort to manual opening and closing with ease. A handy on/off switch helps you to conserve power when the bin is not in use.
