The Frost 4 12mm 8 Steps Hss Tin Step Drill features a 1/4" hex shank compatible with impact drivers and quick change adaptors. Its fixed drilling steps allow for controlled hole size increments, while the non-skid tip can be easily sharpened. The straight flute design with two cutting edges enhances control during drilling. This step drill is particularly effective for sheet metal applications, eliminating the need for pre-drilling. As each step is drilled, it deburrs the previously drilled hole. Constructed from M2 High Speed Steel (HSS), it offers a strong combination of heat and wear resistance. The TiN coating extends tool life significantly compared to uncoated tools, making it suitable for a wide range of general-purpose applications.
