Melrose Organic Evening Primrose Oil is cold-pressed from the seeds of the evening primrose flower, which blooms only at sunset. Evening primrose oil is a rich source of gamma-linoleic acid (GLA), a unique omega-6 fatty acid that assists in the production of hormones necessary for many important bodily functions.
Evening primrose oil has been used for many years to support female hormonal health and to enhance skin health. The liquid can be taken both orally or used topically to treat specific problem areas of the skin.
Taken orally, the product can assist with balancing hormones in females and help to reduce symptoms associated with PMS. The action of balancing hormone levels also plays a role in supporting the skin, which can be affected by hormonal changes. Used topically, evening primrose oil can relieve skin peeling and cracking and reduce the occurrence of dry skin.
