Mr Fothergill S Climbing Bean Kentucky Wonder Wax is an heirloom variety of climbing bean known for its heavy yields of yellow pods and excellent flavour.
This vigorous climber produces straight, flattened, golden-yellow beans measuring 15-20cm in length. The pods are almost stringless and can be harvested as snap beans or allowed to mature as shell beans. The seeds are light, chocolate coloured, and the plant thrives in both sunny and part shade areas. Ideal for sowing in spring and summer, it can also be grown year-round in warmer northern regions.
