The Sika Abelrod Gap Filler is a versatile closed cell polyethylene foam rod, ideal for filling vertical and horizontal joints in concrete and masonry substrates. It is commonly used between precast concrete panels, in interior wall applications, and for sealing skylights, shop fronts, and curtain wall constructions. Additionally, this foam rod is suitable for use in swimming pools, draft proofing, dust sealing, and sealing electrical control boxes. Its excellent recovery properties allow it to withstand years of compression and expansion, providing a tight seal against dirt and water entry. The product is highly resistant to weathering and most common chemicals, meeting the Australian Standard AS2170 for plastic materials intended for food contact use.
