This long auger bit is engineered for fast cutting through timber, making it ideal for applications such as creating holes in fence posts and railway sleepers. The hex shank ensures a secure grip, preventing slippage during use. Its wide lands maintain straightness while boring, and the solid centre design enhances rigidity for improved drilling performance. The single-spur cutting edge accurately marks the hole's circumference, resulting in a smoother finish. The coarse screw point effectively draws the bit into both hard and soft woods, making it suitable for kiln-dried timber, hardwood, softwood, MDF, and particle boards. It is not suitable for green sap and woods.
