Its wide lands help maintain straightness while boring, and the solid centre design adds rigidity for enhanced drilling performance. The single-spur cutting edge effectively scribes the circumference of the hole, resulting in a smoother finish. Additionally, the coarse screw point facilitates quick drilling in both hard and soft woods. This tool is particularly suitable for applications such as creating holes in fence posts and railway sleepers, and it works well with kiln dried timber, hardwood, softwood, MDF, and particle boards. However, it is not suitable for green sap and woods.
